If You Want To Win, Change Your Joy Philosophy Now!

Don’t let anyone lie to you; emotions matter. How you manage your emotions enables you to live authentically and successfully. Emotions are not meant to be suppressed. Neither should you overindulge or oversimplify how you feel.

Your emotions have a purpose and when you are able to gauge what you feel or why you feel–you can use your emotions as directional signals to achieve your goals and dreams.

One of the most powerful and most needful emotions for kingdom living is joy.

“These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.” John 15:11

Joy is one of the golden nuggets in your spiritual treasure chest. You have inherited joy. Joy is not an emotion that you conjure up. Joy is the feeling you have when you are doing something you love–enjoyable actions.

Do you have your own business and looking to increase sales?

Are you thinking about starting your own business?

Are you deciding on what kind of college degree you want to register for?

Are you looking for more engaging activities for your parishioners?

Are you looking for new hobbies?

Your joy level can help you decide.

Life is too short to waste it on things you don’t enjoy or on things that don’t build you up. Joy is the fuel that keeps you on a particular activity or business endeavor until a productive end. Joy is the gasoline in your heart-tank. Without a full tank of joy, it’s easy to get discouraged and complacent.

Kingdom living is all about right attitude and right living. Right living is all about utilizing kingdom principles for the promised life.

Joy in the midst of sorrow is possible not by suppressing sorrow or by pretending it doesn’t exist.  True joy is first the feeling of pleasure and delight. Joy is the emotion that says “You can overcome, don’t give up.” So, in moments of distress, do the things that give you pleasure. When you’re down, you don’t want to do anything, but the spirit of wisdom speaks to you and says “You can overcome.” Faith says “I will overcome.” Joy says “Let’s do the things you enjoy as a healthy distraction.”

Let’s say you love baking cookies. Me, I love eating cookies. But, let’s say as a hobby you bake really good cookies. You can bring your cookies to your local hospital to give to the children and medical staff. Your cookies will bring joy to those that receive them and you’ll get joy from their happy response to your generosity.

I know a children’s heart surgeon. His passion is helping dying children. One day he gave me a box of handmade chocolate caramel clusters–delicious! As we talked, he told me he makes these treats to help him unwind and diffuse his medical stress. After he makes his treats and wraps them in a beautiful white box, he sells them and all the proceeds go towards a children’s fund.

He took a hobby and made it a mission. What about you? What’s in you?

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10

You have the ability to make your gifts and talents a profitable endeavor; spiritually, emotionally and financially.

Joy is the gasoline of the Kingdom. Joy walks with you through the valley of the shadow of death. Joy rewards you with fruitfulness. Joy removes the burden of self-doubt and despair. There is no end to joy. God just keeps it coming if you open up your heart.

Let joy accompany you to your next level of greatness. You are more than a conqueror. After you conquer; you can conquer some more.

Keep your joy tank full. There’s so much that your Heavenly Father has set apart for you to enjoy.

Keep your spirit hydrated with the presence of the Holy Spirit and your mind renewed with truth and creativity. You are unstoppable and powerful. Keep your joy up!
