Why are so many believers living beneath their privilege?
It’s very easy to live in what I call “the letter of faith” and not live in the “spirit of faith”.
Why should a child of the Living God; struggle needlessly. The mortgage is overdue, the car loan is overdue; electric bill is overdue; everything is overdue.
Debt and lack is a hot topic for many sermons. And yet, the listeners can hardly make ends meet while praising the Lord and blaming the devil.
What kind of life is that?
If the Bible told us that all of our rewards would be in “the sweet by and by”; then frustration wouldn’t set it. Frustration is a sign of habitual dissatisfaction from unresolved problems and unfulfilled needs.
This is not the kind of life the Lord has promised.
Since we know that God doesn’t promise us a life of thorns and thistles; we do expect God to bless us with his divine protection, provision and the like.
Why aren’t more of us living under open heavens?
Do we not have enough faith? Or don’t know enough about faith?
I don’t think anyone of us is without the right kind of faith.
Some people misunderstand faith by thinking faith is their source of God’s blessings.
Your spiritual inheritance belongs to you based on your blood covenant with Christ Jesus. Within the beauty of Kingdom living; “Kingdom ownership” defines your rights and privileges.
We all need a simple but powerful working knowledge of what the Kingdom is and where the Kingdom is.
If you know those two things then the “what” of what is included in your title-deed — “will” become apparent and obtainable.
For lack of space but for today’s lesson; let’s note that the Kingdom is the present realm from which our spiritual authority derives. The Kingdom is not a “later place”; it’s a “present place”.
Jesus spent a lot of time teaching his disciples about the Kingdom. The Lord’s prayer in the book of Matthew clearly acknowledges the duality of the Spirit world.
“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Matthew 18:18
Kingdom living takes its breath in the Kingdom and exhales on the Earth.
Without grasping the significance of how these two dimensions work; it makes it almost impossible to receive the benefits of what they both have to offer.
Therefore I say unto you, What things you desire when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them. Mark 11:24
Let me be the first to tell you; you don’t need another teaching on faith and you for sure don’t need another faith conference.
“The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.” Genesis 12:1
I love this scripture about Abraham because it reminds me that receiving is not just about getting — it’s about moving.
Faith is supposed to move me from where I am to where I should be.
If you want to walk in real power, purpose, and provision; then you need the kind of faith that isn’t wrapped up in nursery rhymes and cloaked in pretence.
Only those that are of age have legal right to possess the finances and property that is ” willed” to them.
Will: a document that states a person’s final wishes after one’s death.
It’s time for true spiritual maturity. It’s time educate our ourselves in who we are in the Kingdom and not in religiosity.
Heaven is not a final resting place. It’s your present “living place”.
Your Kingdom Account
Do you ever ask for what already belongs to you? You don’t go to the refrigerator and say “Lord I really want some ice cream” when you know good and well it was you that purchased it from the supermarket.
The depth, length, width, and height of your inheritance are wrapped up in where Abraham dared to go.
That is, the children of the flesh — these are not children of God, but the children of the promise are reckoned for a seed. Romans 9:8
What’s keeping you from living within the expanse of what is owed to you?
There are thousands of books on faith. Knowledge of faith is not instantly converted into the condition we are believing for something.
People who peddle this lie about faith may be well-intentioned but thoroughly misleading.
There weren’t any grand libraries and book stores for the Corinthian believers to purchase. Yet, miracles, signs, and wonders were commonplace. Why?
What did they have that you don’t have? Nothing.I’ve been on this journey for a long time and I see faith very differently from others.
Faith is not just a belief system. To me, faith is the progressive commitment to an expected end. Faith moves with us and through us.
Here are 8 super simple but powerful steps to take if you want to claim and live in your inheritance:
#1 – MAKE IT COUNT
Abraham didn’t have to believe in the specifics of where he was going because he knew and trusted the Lord would “continue” to speak to him “along the way”.
Are you allowing your faith to move you to your expected aka firm expectation?
Are you sure and completely convinced there is a title-deed with your name on it?
Abraham was able to see beyond the lack of his natural surroundings and into the unlimited abundance of God. So should you.
The Earth is the Lord’s and he has bequeathed it to whom He pleases.
The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. Psalm 24:1
#2 – MAKE IT STICK
It’s very logical and needful to believe that the more we ask, the more we get.
But, but, but….if you continue to ask for the same thing it proves that you didn’t have faith for it the first time you asked.
Asking is like a debit card. The money is yours and you expect the cash when you ask for it. This kind of transaction like faith receiving the cash inevitably.
Abraham heard God. He believed God and he moved with God. Because of his willingness to move; the blessings were guaranteed along the way.
Make your inheritance grounded in your “knower”. You know that you, you have heard God. Know that every step you take even when you feel derailed will lead you to your promise land so long as you keep moving and don’t lay down.
Your how determines your what.
#3 – MAKE IT WORK
When you allow what is worthy of your faith to saturate your being; the prophetic word or (promise) Heaven will move the Earth on your behalf.
There is a level of spiritual maturity that is required in order to not just hear God but also a personal deeper balance between persistence and patience.
Most people forfeit what God has for them because they are either distracted or disappointed. Too distracted to keep their eye on the path or too disappointed to see that regardless of the negatives God is still working it out for their good.
Settle it in your being that you are not going to stop expecting until you’ve received it.
Like Jacob put your teeth on it and don’t let it go.
#4 – MAKE IT REAL
Abraham didn’t have a one-time encounter with God. He didn’t have only one prophetic word. He had a series 6of prophetic promises.
Abraham had to daily walk in faith. And, he was able to walk into the place because of his faith.
From faith to place, faith to place, faith to place. There are many levels and dimensions to God’s promise to you.
Your inheritance doesn’t need to be conjured up, fabricated or imitated.
Please understand, how God dealt with Abraham is a testimonial; it is not the standard blueprint on how He will deal with you. It simply serves as a powerful reminder that God is faithful.
#5 – MAKE IT RIGHT
Abraham wasn’t grappling in the dark in search of where he should go. Abraham was led by “Every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” By its very definition, the word “proceed is an action word”.
It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4
It doesn’t say out of the scroll, out of the book or out of the painting.
When the mouth of God is in your ear; you don’t have to second guess that you’ve heard.
Abraham was rich in health and rich in wealth because he was rich in faith. [A moving faith.] The fruit in his life came from the root of faith.
Like anything else, the right results is going to require you to unlearn what you’ve been saying and doing wrong. Ask the Holy Spirit what’s wrong and how to fix it or unlearn it. then you will be well on your way to enjoying a new level of Kingdom living.
#6 – MAKE IT MATTER
Satan is working overtime to keep you functioning below your inheritance and living beneath your birthright. But, this battle is an optical illusion.
Satan knows that fear controls your heart life. He knows doubt controls your thought life. The prodigal’s son received what was his. He wanted it early so he got it early. He missed out but it was his to do so.
You don’t have to beg for your inheritance. You don’t have to fight for it or earn it.
What’s yours is yours. Take it!
#7 – MAKE IT CLEAR
Abraham heard God. It’s that simple. Totally not complicated.
Children of the rich and famous don’t know what’s it like to not be rich and famous. They always see themselves in light of their parents’ possessions, not through what they own as individuals.
The same must be said about your inheritance.
How you perceive yourself affects what you receive for yourself.
Do you need some things solved in your life?
Money is not carnal; it’s spiritual. It’s about the exchange of value. Money gives you purchasing power. Money is something given for something in return.
The Bible doesn’t teach you to be shy or irresponsible with money. Money answers all things. Healing is a tangible thing. Divine health is a tangible thing. Real estate and money are tangible.
Do you need a new idea for your business or to improve your career? Ideas are things.
Make it clear within your soul and spirit; what you want and what you need. Your inheritance supplies both.
#8 – MAKE IT HAPPEN
God doesn’t speak to His children in riddles and vague religious mumbo jumbo.
So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17
How much you get to withdraw from your Abrahamic account is totally up to you.
You can stand around and clap around and dance around your promises or you can begin to live from your prophetic contractual agreement.
Stop accepting the inadequate and the unfruitful.
The sooner you start making a demand on your birthright; the sooner you’ll be able to enjoy all the rights, favour and privileges God’s will contains for you.
Not a single one of all the good promises the Lord had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything he had spoken came true. Joshua 21:45
