Billions of dollars are spent yearly by people looking for answers from psychics.
When they came to the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant who was with him, “Come, let us go back, lest my father ceases to care about the donkeys and become anxious about us.” But he said to him, “Behold, there is a man of God in this city, and he is a man who is held in honour; all that he says comes true. So now let us go there. Perhaps he can tell us the way we should go.” Then Saul said to his servant, “But if we go, what can we bring the man? For the bread in our sacks is gone, and there is no present to bring to the man of God. What do we have?” The servant answered Saul again, “Here, I have with me a quarter of a shekel of silver, and I will give it to the man of God to tell us our way.” (Formerly in Israel, when a man went to inquire of God, he said, “Come, let us go to the seer,” for today’s “prophet” was formerly called a Seer.) 1 Samuel 9:5-9
First things first. Yes, you should go to the prophet with the questions that you need answers for. We are not just supposed to wait for it and we shouldn’t chase after prophecy.
God has not changed. The gift of prophecy has not changed. While the world seeks and chases after psychics, you have the prophetic available to you freely.
Saul lost his donkeys and but he didn’t just think about himself.
He immediately began to think about how to bless the prophet because he wanted to plant a seed into his miracle.
The future king of Israel had a need. Saul lost something of value and he would consider it robbery to not give something of value in exchange [the operative word is “exchange”] for the return of what he lost.
“The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.” Helen Keller
What have you lost? What do you need sight into?
Did you lose a home? Did you lose out on an inheritance? Did you lose your business? Did you lose your gold watch? God cares. So much so that He has given vision to the prophet to see on your behalf.
Prophets have “inner sight” or insight. Nothing hides from God.
The word insight is defined as penetrating mental vision or discernment.
How do you recover what you’ve lost? Ask. Ask. Ask. But how do you ask?
Ask and you shall receive. Matthew 7:8
The prophetic is not about good ideas or getting nice things; it’s about exclusivity, strategy and expertise.
The prophetic gives you vision into a thing now and vision into things to come. The prophetic helps restore what you’ve forgotten and what you have given up on.
God sends you the prophet in order to remove the limited vision you have about yourself and your future.
What have you lost? What’s being delayed in arriving? Who are your prophets?
If you’re ready for the answers you need, watch God put His prophets in your path. Or it may come to you in the form of a dream or vision.
Maybe you think, what do you have to give to the prophet, the widow gave Jesus two mites. He didn’t give them back. He planted it toward her heavenly account.
The time of restoration is now.
Don’t worry about what you can give. You have plenty. It’s not about the amount; it’s about seed.
The tree is bigger than the seed but you still have to plant it. Don’t feel sad that you can’t give a bigger gift than you’d like.
The seed in your hand has greatness within it.
It’s about “now” seed for now harvest. The restoration of his donkeys was the harvest but the unexpected word of destiny he received after turned his whole life around.
Then Samuel took a flaskof olive oil and poured it on Saul’s head and kissed him, saying, “Has not the anointed you ruler over his inheritance? 1 Samuel 10:1
I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, that was a divine set up for Saul. It can be that way for you too. Total restoration of what you’ve lost is possible today.
